With individual condensation rings and a one-way, tight-fitting lid, they reduce transfer of impuritiesand help prevent evaporation. An alphanumeric notation on each well aids in simple identification. Transparent polystyrene construction allows for easy visualization of cell growth and facilitates observation under a microscope. Manufactured under ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 quality management systems in an ISO Class 8 (formerly Class 100,000) cleanroom environment for optimal quality, these cell and tissue culture well plates are individually packaged in peel-to-open blister packs, autoclaved by irradiation (SAL 10-6), and are DNase/RNase free, nonpyrogenic, and noncytotoxic. They conform to USP Class VI and are quality traceable with the lot number on both the plate and packaging. Plates with a treated surface are suitable for common adherent cell lines due to the excellent hydrophilicity of the surface while untreated plates are suitable for suspension cell culture.
